The application is one part of the setup. We look after the computers, connections, access and recovery it depends on. When a problem crosses into the application, we work with its vendor to get the right people involved.
Revit worksharing isn’t supported on OneDrive, SharePoint, Dropbox or Google Drive, and AutoCAD doesn’t lock files in SharePoint or OneDrive. So two people can open the same drawing without a warning. We help pick the setup that fits the network you actually have. Autodesk says so for Revit and AutoCAD.
Xrefs, sheet sets, plot styles, fonts and Civil 3D data shortcuts have to come back with it. We keep backups isolated and test that all of it comes back.
The sealing architect keeps each sealed document legible for at least ten years from its signature date. A backup you can’t open later doesn’t count. We build and test the recovery around that. The rule: Texas architecture rule 1.103(c).
The firm still owes the CMMC self-assessments, even with Phase II suspended since July 13, 2026. A prime can’t award you a covered subcontract without your assessment from the last three years (DFARS 7020). And a cyber incident gets reported within 72 hours (DFARS 7012).
Revit only runs on Windows, so the drafting stations are PCs and the principals and marketing are often on Macs. We run both, with the same project storage, printers and backups, at the same price per person. Mac and Apple support.
Revit models, point clouds and full drawing sets are large. We size the network, the storage and the backups for files that size, so opening a model doesn’t mean a coffee break.
